Neville calls for Man United cull amid Pogba exit talk

Gary Neville says Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho needs to identify the trouble-makers in his squad and sell them this summer.

Neville was appalled by United’s performance in defeat to West Brom that handed the title to Manchester City. He called the performance “dismal” and “weak”.

There are now suggestions that Paul Pogba is among those likely to be sold this summer, while Mourinho himself has said he will drop under-performing players for this weekend’s semi-final clash with Tottenham.

Neville said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football: “I didn’t see it coming, it was a dismal, weak day for United. They started the season trying to rid themselves of these performances.

“Mourinho referred to attitude and consistency, he needs to identify the ones causing those problems and they need to go. I think there will be three or four players leaving and the same number coming in.

“He’s got to make that gap up and it’s going to be tough. Consistency is about mentality and the players fell well below that considering the last couple of weeks.”

Yes but enough is enough! He’s playing at walking pace! He can do so much more… https://t.co/oemEEoy7iJ
